The FC Barcelona futsal team kicked off their league season with a 4-4 draw away at Movistar Inter in a see-saw, intense encounter. Javi Rodríguez's team came back from 3-1 down to take a share of the spoils thanks to goals from Pito, João Víctor and two from Martel.

Early parity

Barça's day at Movistar Inter started well enough with Pito putting the visitors ahead after just eight minutes. A pass from Gauna was latched on to and Pito's subtle finish gave the blaugranes' a deserved lead.

However, Movistar were back on level terms just minutes later when a long range effort from Mínguez made it 1-1 Barça keeper Dídac Plana made several important saves to keep the scores level at the break.

Back and forth

In the second half Movistar scored twice through Raya and Raúl Gómez to take control of the game at 3-1. However, Barça wasted no time in reacting, João Víctor and Martel bringing it back to 3-3 after 26 minutes. Carlos Bartolomé restored the home side's advantage but a second from Martel again brought the blaugranes level with just under 10 minutes to go. Both sides searched for a winner but there were to be no more goals and the points shared on the opening day of the league season.
