Palma Futsal 5-1 Barça: Top spot lost

Palma Futsal 5-1 Barça: Top spot lost

Late goals for the home side seal the win against a blaugrana team who are no longer leaders in the league

Barça's futsal team went down to a 5-1 defeat in Mallorca against Palma Futsal who are now level on points at the top of the table. Goals from Fabinho, Neguinho and Gordillo late on with the blaugranes having sacrificed their keeper at 2-1 down were the final blow for Tino Pérez's team. Barça will have to move on quickly from this defeat with just three games of the regular season in the league remaining.

After early chances for both teams, Fabinho put Palma ahead on 12 minutes. The goal rocked Barça and just two minutes later an effort from Bruno Gomes made it 2-0 for the home side. Minutes into the second half Dyego's pass was finished off by Antonio to give the blaugranes hope.

However, with Tino Pérez having sacrificed his keeper in search of the equaliser, late goals from Fabinho, Neguinho and Gordillo consigned Barça to defeat and left Palma top of the table.
