The Barça futsal side saw six players from the youth system take part in the game against Manzanares in the Palau Blaugrana in the 11th game of the league season. Martí Antolín, Pau López, Adrián Tapias, Harrison Santos, Aniol Vendrell and Mamadou Touré all featured in the contest which unfortunately ended in defeat for the blaugranes.
Despite the 6-3 defeat in the Palau, Jesús Velasco's team remain top of the table after suffering just their second defeat of the season and their first in the Palau. Goals from Catela and a brace from Pito were not enough for the blaugranes who had only previously been beaten by Palma.
Level at the break
With a whole host of players missing due to injury and keeper Dídac and Matheus left out, the Barça line up had an unusual look about it in the Palau against Manzanares. The visitors took the league early through Raúl Campos but the blaugranes reacted quickly with Catela making it 1-1 on the quarter of an hour mark with a penalty.
A goal from Álvaro sent the visitors back in front but Pito levelled things up at 2-2 just seconds before the break.
Manzanares get on top
The sides trading blows continued after the break. Raúl Campos sent Manzanares back in front only for Pito to equalise two minutes later to make it 3-3 on 25 minutes. Nevertheless, the visitors surged in front when Juan Emilio and then Daniel found the net in the space of a minute to make it 5-3. Barça went close with Adolfo and Erick and Dyego all having chances before Manzanares sealed victory with another goal from Daniel just seconds from the end.
The blaugranes now have a chance to pick themselves up with an away trip to Betis before returning to the Palau for a home game against Inter.
