Barça 2-0 Ribera Navarra: Extending lead at top of the table

Goals from Adolfo and Catela allow the culers to pick up three points in a game that was not decided until the final minutes

Barça had to work hard to pull off a win on Saturday against Ribera Navarra at the Palau Blaugrana in week 9 of the league season. Goals from Adolfo and Catela allowed the blaugranes to take the victory and stretch their lead over second placed Cartagena to four points.

Adolfo opens the scoring

The blaugranes took the initiative early on in the game but it was not until the 11th minute that Barça took the lead. Pito won the ball back and fed Adolfo who scored to make it 1-0. Adolfo could have added a second before the break but good goalkeeping from Deko denied the Barça man.

At the other end Barça keeper Dídac was on hand to save from Charraoui to preserve the blaugranes' lead at half time.

The second half saw Ribera Navarra push hard for the equaliser but once again Dídac showed himself to be up to the job, saving a double penalty.

The victory was secured when Catela scored from the spot to make it 2-0 after 37 minutes.
