The city of Barcelona was a sea of joy, smiles and confetti as the FC Barcelona Women's team celebrated their Champions League win over OL Lyonnes on Saturday in Oslo with the fans. The culers turned up in numbers to pay tribute to a team who continue to make history with four more trophies in the 2025/26 season.

Gemma, Paredes, María León, Sydney, Paralluelo, Marta, Pina, Graham, Alexia, Patri, Cata Coll, Aitana, Serrajordi, Pajor, Kika, Vicky, Batlle, Aïcha, Brugts, Fenger, Txell Font, Adriana and Carla Julià were also presented to the fans amidst ovations as the side coached by Pere Romeu brought smiles to the supporters both young and old on a sunny and warm May afternoon.

Music and songs

Music took centre stage at the celebrations with captain Alexia announcing at the beginning of her address to the fans: "This party ought to have started with the speeches but you can see what this team is like." Patri Guijarro was the ringleader, leading the chants and songs with her team mates, an example of just how united this Barça Women squad is, one of the pillars of their success.

Alexia finally had the chance to speak, thanking the fans, the coaching staff and the Board of Directors. Also present at the celebrations were FC Barcelona president, Rafael Yuste, president elect, Joan Laporta, member of the board responsible for women's football, Angel Riudalbas, and member of the Board elect, Xavi Puig as well as other representatives from the Club.

Aitana: "We are the best club in the world"

"We have the best fans in the world. Thank you for the energy you give us every day. I want to thank to the Board for allowing a Barça fan to be coach of this team," said Pere Romeu. Whilst captain Alexia added, "we will always give everything for the jersey."

Ballon d'Or winner Aitana Bonmatí spoke for all when she said: "We are the best team in the word, the best club in the world and have the best colours in the world." Player of the Match in the final Ewa Pajor admitted "it's an honour to play for Barça," as the likes of Cata Coll, Claudia Pina and Esmee Brugts went through a repertoire of Barça songs.

Not to be outdone, Kika Nazarets sang an a cappella version of the song, 'La Perla' by Rosalia. Mascot CAT and the Figa Flawas also played their part in the festivities that ended with the traditional, 'We are the Champions', appropriate for a team that has won the league, Super Cup, Copa de la Reina and the Champions League this season.
