Another final! Barça Women made home advantage count in the second leg of the semi-finals, beating Badalona Women 4–1 in a hard-fought match. The breakthrough only came late in the first half, with the first of Alexia’s two goals, followed by strikes from Kika and Pajor to secure a place in the Copa de la Reina final.

A tricky start

After a goalless first leg, Barça were well aware of Badalona’s defensive strength, and the pattern was similar at the Johan until the deadlock was finally broken. The hosts, without their usual fluency, still created early chances through Vicky, Graham and Pajor.

Alexia shows the way

With an attacking setup (Vicky in midfield and Salma at full-back) Barça pushed to unlock the game, but needed patience and maturity. Just when it seemed the breakthrough would not come before half-time, Alexia arrived, finishing first-time from a cross to make it 1–0 (just before half-time.

That goal lifted the team. Playing with greater freedom after the break, Barça doubled their lead when Alexia converted a penalty following a handball.

Kika and Pajor seal it

Kika quickly added a third with a fine strike from the edge of the box, effectively putting the tie beyond doubt. Chamorro pulled one back for Badalona with ten minutes to go, but Gemma Font denied any late tension with a key save.

Pajor then capped the win with a fourth after a superb assist from Sydney, sealing a well-earned victory.

Barça Femeni are back in the Copa de la Reina final, where they will face Atlético Madrid on 16 May in Gran Canaria.
