DUX Logroño 0–3 Barça Women: Another win for the leaders
Barça Women keep on track in the league after recording an impressive 3-0 win away from home at DUX Logroño to make it 18 victories in 19 games in the domestic competition. Goals from Carla Julià, Kika and Vicky López decided the game in a six minute spell in the second half.
The game in Las Gaunas also saw a league debut for Adriana as well as Maria Lorella. Ona Batlle figured in her 100th game as a blaugrana.
The win was dedicated to Laia Aleixandri, who picked up a serious knee injury in the Copa win over Real Madrid, and to Marta Torrejón who did not make the trip to Logroño due to untimely passing of her father.
Goalless first half
It was not an easy first period for the blaugranes with DUX Logroño well positioned in defence. Despite having chances, Pere Romeu's team went off at half time with the scoreline goalless.
Six decisive minutes
In the second half it was a different story. First, Carla Julià turned home Graham Hansen's cross on 50 minutes and then just two minutes later Kika made it 2-0 after a pass from Vicky López.
Two goals in two minutes turned the match in Barça's favour and when Vicky added a third from a rebound after keeper Miralles had saved from Graham Hansen in the 56th minute.
