FC Barcelona Femini wrapped up 2025 in the best possible fashion, booking their place in the quarter-finals of the Copa de la Reina with an emphatic 6–1 win over Alavés at the Ciudad Deportiva Luis Compañón. The blaugranes dominated from start to finish, putting the finishing touch on an outstanding year.

Kika and Sydney strike first

Barça were on the front foot from the opening whistle, applying constant pressure on the Alavés goal and dictating play in the final third. Despite the home side’s organised defence, the visitors created the first clear chances and set the tempo early on.

The breakthrough came in the 21st minute following a slick attacking move. Serrajordi set up Kika, who controlled neatly before firing a composed shot from an angle into the corner to make it 1-0. Just minutes later, Serrajordi was again the provider, this time for Sydney, who doubled the lead with a precise finish to give Barça some breathing space before the break, although Alavés pulled one back just before the teams headed to thee dressing room.

Cruising into the quarter-finals

After the restart, Barça reasserted their authority and went in search of a decisive third goal. It arrived in the 59th minute, when Graham Hansen met a superb delivery from Carla Julià to restore the two-goal cushion at 3-1. From there, the chances kept coming. Serrajordi capped her outstanding display by smashing home a powerful strike from the edge of the area, in between goals four and five that both came via unfortunate own goals by the Alavés defence after well-worked Barça attacks.

Barça saw out the remainder of the match with ease, underlining their superiority and sealing a comprehensive victory.
