Barça Women 4-0 DUX Logroño: Wins continue
Barça Women kept up their early season form with an impressive 4-0 win over DUX Logroño in the third game of the league season. Pere Romeu's team have now scored 20 goals in the league and conceded just once.
Aitana and Pajor open the scoring
As is usual when sides come to Barcelona, the blaugranes had to try and break down a defensive Logroño side. Their patience paid off when Aitana gave the home side the lead on 21 minutes, just moments after Ona Batlle had hit the bar.
Just three minutes later Aitana struck again. A pass from Patri was expertly finished inside the post from the Ballon d'Or holder as the blaurganes went 2-0 up. There was still more to come before half time when Pajor made it 3-0 on 42 minutes after another assist from Patri.
Kika, attentive
In the second half Barça continued to create chances and it came as no surprise when Kika Nazareth reacted first to a loose ball in the box to head home a fourth for the blaugranes on 68 minutes.
100 games for Salma
With the game won, coach Pere Romeu handed Salma Paralluelo her 100th appearance in a Barça shirt as a second half substitute. Chances came for María León and Sydney but Logroño keeper Miralles was at the top of her game. There was a possible penalty in the final minutes for Barça that eventually was not awarded after a long VAR delay but had no effect on the result as the blaugranes made it nine points from nine in the league.
