Ingrid Engen is set to leave Barça. The 26 year old Norwegian player is bringing an end to a four season spell with Barça Women, during which she played 152 games and won 13 trophies as a blaugrana. The Club wishes her the best of luck for the future in her personal and professional endeavours.
Adaptability
Engen's stay in Barcelona has been outstanding, having played 152 games, scored 8 goals, and put in superb performances in two positions. The Norwegian joined as a midfielder, but became a fixture at the heart of the defence, accumulating many minutes as a central defender over the past two seasons.
The 2023/24 season is worth highlighting in particular, as the Barça number 23 played practically the entire season as a central defender due to an injury to María León, having a tremendous season as part of a centre back pairing with Paredes. She played no fewer than 40 games that season and put in notable performances in both the Liga F and Champions League.
