16-year-old midfielder signs for five years and will be working with the senior women's team
Vicky López is the latest FC Barcelona player. On her 16th birthday, the midfielder has signed for five seasons. She will officially be part of the reserve team but will be working with the seniors, while also residing and studying at La Masia. So, from today she will be joining training sessions under the orders of Jonatan Giráldez in Sant Joan Despí. The official signing and presentation ceremony will take place whenever the presidential agenda so allows.
Viewed as one of the greatest teenage promises in the women’s game in Spain, López oozes skill and charisma and can play as an attacking midfielder or winger. At her former club, Madrid CFF, she became the youngest player ever to debut in Primera Iberdrola at just 15 years and 2 months. She was also one of the standout players at the recent U17 European Championship, where Spain finished runners-up.
