Jonatan Giráldez has extended his contract with FC Barcelona until 30 June 2024. The coach's current deal came to an end at the conclusion of the season and he has signed for another two years, putting pen to paper alongside president Joan Laporta and board director Xavier Puig at the president office at Camp Nou.
Also in attendance were his coaching staff; assistants Rafel Navarro and Pere Romeu, goalkeeping coach Oriol Casares, fitness coaches Berta Carles and Jacob González as well as analysts Toni Gordo and Alberto Angelastri who will all be remaining with the team.
In his first season as Barça Women coach Giráldez won the league, the Copa de la Reina and the Spanish Super Cup as well as reaching the Champions League final. In total his team won 45 of 47 matches over the campaign, scoring 221 goals and conceding just 23.
