Barça Women were crowned Primera Iberdrola champions this Sunday in front of a passionate crowd at Estadi Johan Cruyff. The victory against Real Madrid (5-0) means their points total cannot be surpassed, even with six games to go, testament to their superb run of 24 wins in 24 games.
This is the third Liga title in a row, and now the Club's seventh (2011/12, 2012/13, 2013/14, 2014/15, 2019/20, 2020/21 and 2021/22). Barça now lead the way for league titles, two ahead of Athletic Club in second place.
Barça Women reaffirm their dominance in Spain with this league win - they have the most title wins, Copa de la Reina wins, and Spanish Super Cup wins (the only team from Spain to win the Champions League too).
Strangely, this was only the second time that the title was won in front of the home fans, the last time coming precisely ten years ago.
