Barça add the Copa de la Reina to the league and Champions League titles won this season, an unusual milestone in women's football
Barça Women have a treble. With the victory in Butarque against Levante (4-2), the Copa de la Reina is added to the other two titles previously won, the league and the Champions League, and makes 2020/21 the most triumphant season in the team's history. Never before had they achieved a treble. In fact, it is an unprecedented milestone in Spanish women's football.
Consequently, the Catalans have joined the select group of clubs to win the Treble: Lyon (2012, 2016, 2017, 2019 and 2020), VfL Wolfsburg (2013), Arsenal (2007) and Frankfurt (2002 and 2008).
Absolute Queens of Cups
The Copa de la Reina win was Barça's eight triumph in the competition, seven of which have come in the last eleven seasons. They are ahead of Levante and Espanyol, who have six trophies each.
Leaving aside the European competition, it is the fourth time that Barça have achieved the double in the same season (2013, 2014, 2020 and 2021). Levante (2), Espanyol, Oroquieta Villaverde and CA Málaga are the other teams that have also celebrated the double.
