The match began with Manchester City on the front foot before both Marta Torrejón and Andrea Pereira went close for the visitors. The hosts kept coming forward in the early stages with Barça's defence rock solid. Paños had already saved a shot from Beckie, before the same player put Man City ahead in the 20th minute.
Barça reacted and almost equalised after a double chance from Caroline Graham Hansen and Oshoala respectively. Five minutes before the break, Oshoala tried her luck again but was just wide.
Oshoala gives Barça the advantage
In the second half, Roebuck saved from Oshoala in a one-on-one, though the Barça forward made no mistake just before the hour to hand the visitors a vital away goal. Mewis grabbed a second for City in the 68th minute to give them hope, however, Barça held on for a famous aggregate victory and qualification to the semifinals.
