On January 31, 2020, FC Barcelona and SC Braga reached an agreement for the signing of Francisco Trincão, however, the Portuguese didn't join Barça until August of the same year. Born on December 29, 1999 in Viana do Castelo (Portugal), he began his career in the youth teams at Vianense and Porto, before joining the ranks of SC Braga.
On December 28, 2018, he made his debut with the first team in a League Cup match against Vitoria FC, and since then, he has continued his progression, settling in the first team.
Since his debut, Trincão played 40 games for Braga's first team, scoring nine goals, and during his last season for the club he established himself as a major player.
As for the national team, the winger has played for the Portuguese U18, U19, U20 and U21 teams. With the U19 he won the European Championship in 2018 and was also the top scorer at the tournament (5 goals) and the top assister (3).
In terms of style of play, the young Portuguese can play in any position up front, although he does especially well as a winger, both on the right or left side. He is a fast and very skillful player who has wonderful technique, good vision and a great shot. The Barça player is also an excellent dribbler which means he's very unpredictable for rival defences.
