Leo Messi is part of the 11 FIFPRO World XI for the 12th consecutive season. The Argentinian has been in FIFA’s team of the year for his position every year since he first appeared in 2006/07. This demonstrates just how consistently brilliant his performances have been year on year.

The 11 FIFPRO of the 2017/18 season includes the blaugrana captain alongside De Gea, Dani Alves, Ramos, Varane, Marcelo, Modric, Kanté, Hazard, Mbappé and Cristiano Ronaldo.

The Best FIFA Men's Award of 2018 was given to Luka Modric. The other awards were: The Best FIFA Women’s Player went to Marta Vieira, The Best FIFA Men’s Coach to Didier Deschamps, The Best FIFA Women’s Coach to Reynald Pedros, The Best FIFA Goalkeeper to Thibaut Courtois, FIFA Puskas Award for the best goal to Mohamed Salah, FIFA Fan Award to the Peruvian national team, the FIFA Fair Play Award to Lennart Thy.
