Last training session before the derby

The available first team players and Aleñá trained in preparation for the match against Espanyol in the 35th La Liga fixture of the season

The blaugranas visit the RCDE Stadium on Saturday at 8.45pm CET to take on Espanyol in the Barcelona derby. The blaugranas trained this Friday in the final session before a match which they need to win if they want to continue putting pressure on Real Madrid and fighting to win the league.

The available first team players and Barça B’s Carles Aleñá took part in a preparatory session on the Tito Vilanova pitch at the Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper. Andrés Iniesta missed out as he has some pain in his right leg.

Luis Enrique’s side come into the derby in fine form having beaten Osasuna by a thumping 7-1 score line and they head into the final four league games in confident mood. They face an Espanyol side who are ninth in the table with 50 points and they need a win if they are to keep pushing for a European spot this season. The Barcelona derby will no doubt be a passionate encounter to bring a frenetic month to a close.
