Tens of thousands attend Barça training session at Hard Rock Stadium

Twenty-four hours before Saturday's Clásico, the fans came out in droves to see the team's workout at the home of the Miami Dolphins

MIAMI GARDENS, Florida — Friday's FC Barcelona training session at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami was by far the biggest yet on this summer's U.S. tour in terms of attendance, as the team held its final workout a little more than 24 hours ahead of quite possibly the most anticipated preseason soccer match to ever take place.

Like the previous two open sessions held in New York and in Washington, paying fans paid to see Barça train for a little more than an hour. The Barça players went through some of the traditional warmups before splitting up to entertain the multitudes with short-field games and give-and-go drills.

But the big jump in attendance—some 27,000 were there—was due mostly in part to the fact that it was Barça's final session before Saturday night's Clásico, which kicks off at Hard Rock Stadium at 7.30pm CET and which is the first Clásico to be held on American soil.
