Barça's first training session of 2026/27
FC Barcelona's 2026/27 preseason training is underway. Following Monday's medicals and fitness tests, on Tuesday Hansi Flick's team worked out at the Ciutat Esportiva for the first team this season.
Still without World Cup players
Nine first team players took part in the session; Ter Stegen, Szczesny, Balde, Christensen, Casadó, Gerard Martín, Marc Bernal, Héctor Fort and Roony Bardghji, with the rest of the squad still to return following World Cup duty.
Also taking part in the session were members of the Barça Atlètic and U19 squads: Jofre Torrents, Álvaro Cortés, Hafiz Gariba, Tommy Marqués, Orian Goren, Ebrima Tunkara, Ibrahim Diarra, Guille Fernández, Álex González, Shane Kluivert, Òscar Gistau, Toni Fernández, Áron Yaakobishvili, Xavi Espart, Hamza Abdelkarim and Brian Fariñas.
Wednesday, double session
With the first session complete, the squad will return to action on Wednesday for the first double session of preseason, with training at 9.30pm CEST and also at 6pm CEST.
