And that's a wrap for 2026 World Cup group stage matchday one. The 16 blaugranes involved are now looking forward to the next match to achieve their aims. None of the blaugranes have tasted defeat yet a week into the World Cup, as the eight national sides featuring Barça players have earned six draws and two wins.

Two victories

The national sides with three points are France with Kounde, who defeated Senegal (3-1), and England with Rashford and Gordon, who overcame Croatia (4-2).

The others earned a point, as there were draws for Spain against Cape Verde (0-0); Brazil against Morocco (1-1); Netherlands against Japan (2-2); Uruguay against Saudi Arabia (1-1); Portugal against DR Congo (1-1); and Egypt against Belgium (1-1).

Thirteen players get playing time

Of the 16 Barça players called up for the World Cup, 13 have already featured in the tournament, with Cubarsí, Pedri, Gavi, and Ferran Torres (Spain), Raphinha (Brazil), Kounde (France), De Jong (Netherlands), Gordon (England) and Cancelo (Portugal) all starting the first match.

Olmo, Lamine Yamal (Spain), Rashford (England) and Hamza Abdelkarim (Egypt) all came off the bench.

This means just Eric Garcia, Joan Garcia (Spain) and Araujo (Uruguay), who was a close call due to injury, are yet to play and are waiting for their chance.

One goalscorer

Despite playing a lot of minutes already, only one of the 16 has scored at the World Cup, and that's Marcus Rashford. Barça's English forward came on after 72 minutes to replace Anthony Gordon.

The score was 3-2 against Croatia at the time, but England confirmed the win through Rashford (4-2) after 85 minutes, as he cut back to beat the defender, before curling past Croatia keeper Livakovic into the far post.
