Andreas Christensen is back in the FC Barcelona jersey, as he played in the final LaLiga game against Valencia 158 days after his last appearance. The partial anterior cruciate ligament tear of his left knee during training on 21 December has kept him from helping out LaLiga champions Barça as much as he would have liked.

The Dane replaced Eric García and played 30 minutes at the Mestalla stadium to make his 18th appearance under Hansi Flick this season.

It was a special day for Christensen having not played for so long and let's not forget that he scored a goal the previous time he played this 2025/26 season, when the blaugranes won 0-2 away to Guadalajara in the Copa del Rey.

Now the Danish centreback can smile again after donning the FC Barcelona jersey for another match.
