Midfielder Frenkie de Jong continues to consolidate his place in FC Barcelona history after making his 292nd appearance for the Club in the Champions League quarter-final second leg against Atlético Madrid in the Riyadh Air Metropolitano stadium.

De Jong has now equalled Phillip Cocu's total of games for the Club to become the player from the Netherlands with most appearances for Barça, a record he could take for his own if he features next Wednesday against Celta Vigo in La Liga.

Of his 292 appearances, 197 have come in La Liga, 52 in the Champions League, 24 in the Copa del Rey, 11 in the Spanish Super Cup and eight in the Europa League.

De Jong and Cocu top the list of Dutchmen with most games for Barça now with Ronald Koeman in third place on 264 games, followed by Patrick Kluivert on 257, Michael Reiziger on 252 with Frank de Boer closing out the top six on 214.
