Hansi Flick’s Barça have matched a historic milestone. Saturday's 2-0 defeat of Osasuna has extended their run of game in which they have scored at least one goal to 37, with Raphinha coming to rescue this time by finally breaking the deadlock after the visitors has held out for almost 70 minutes. The run now stands as the second-best in Barça history, level with the streak achieved between 2018 and 2019 under Ernesto Valverde.

That scoring momentum, which began almost a year ago on 21 December 2024 shows no signs of slowing down. Far from it. Since Pedri set this remarkable run in motion against Atlético Madrid, the goals haven't stopped coming.

101 goals

The goals scored during this period have not only been widely shared across the squad, but also plentiful. Hansi Flick’s side have netted 101 goals across these 37 matches, almost three per game.

The all-time best scoring streak, however, remains some way off. It's an astonishing 26 matches away. That record was set between February 2012 and October 2013, during spells under no fewer than four different managers, Pep Guardiola, Tito Vilanova, Jordi Roura and Gerardo Martino, when Barça scored in 63 consecutive league games. In other words, if the current Barça are to go on and match the record, they'll have to keep scoring through to the fifth game of next season. And why not believe? After all, the ambition of this team knows no bounds.
