Jules Kounde was the man to shine on Barça's return to Spotify Camp Nou in Europe. The French defender scored twice in the Champions League win over Eintracht Frankfurt to claim the UEFA Player of the Match award.
First goal in the Champions League for Barça
The brace against the German side was the first time Kounde had scored twice in the same game in his career, and also his first goals for Barça in the Champions League. Furthermore, the Frenchman became the first Barça player to score twice with headers in the history of the Champions League. The last blaugrana to achieve such a feat in all competitions was Robert Lewandowski against Valencia back in April 2024.
