The goalkeeper admits that he was keen to make the move official, which he did on 18 June, since when he has waited to express that "I had a great desire to join such a big project." For the man from Sallent, a town some 70km from Barcelona, becoming a blaugrana was "a step I had to take."

Next season we will surely see him in a Barça shirt and preseason begins on 13 June for the new keeper. Garcia says he could start training "tomorrow", as he is "really looking forward to starting with the first team."
