La Liga has reached its end, which means it’s time to reveal the players chosen for this season’s LaLiga Team of the Season. Voting closed on 11 May, and the 22 footballers who make up this year’s XI plus substitutes are now confirmed. And they're headed by seven Barça players from Hansi Flick’s side, who clinched the league crown mathematically on 15 May.

Strong Barça presence

Winning the title, and doing so with outstanding football at both ends of the pitch, has translated into a hefty blaugrana haul of spots on the list. Íñigo Martínez, Pau Cubarsí and Jules Kounde represent Barça in defence, three stoppers who embody both present solidity and future promise. In midfield, the nod goes to Pedri, the magician from the Canaries who has enjoyed a superb campaign, acting as the team’s compass and establishing himself as the division’s standout midfielder.

Trident in full glory

Up front, Barça’s entire attacking trio makes the cut. Robert Lewandowski, Raphinha and Lamine Yamal have all posted impressive numbers. With one match-day still to play, the Polish striker sits on 25 league goals, his best single-season tally since joining the club. Raphinha has struck 18 goals, proving a constant menace to any opponent, while 17-year-old Lamine Yamal has contributed 9 goals and 15 assists and established himself as perhaps the most talked-about player on the planet.
