Under Hansi Flick, FC Barcelona have won all four Clásicos they’ve played. This fourth win leaves La Liga within touching distance for the blaugranes, who, thanks to Sunday's dramatic 4–3 win at Montjuïc, have extended their lead to seven points with only nine left in play.

Speaking after the final whistle, the Barça coach said “the team’s mentality is incredible. They have the power to come back from 2-0 down, even after the defeat in Milan ... When you arrive at a club you always have objectives, especially at Barça, where you must always win titles. The job isn’t finished yet. We need to be more consistent defensively, but with matches every three days it’s very difficult to train.”

Full belief

Despite small areas for improvement, Flick focused on the positives: “We have to celebrate the victory. I’m very happy for the whole club and the fans. The atmosphere is incredible, and I really appreciate it.”

But the German still doesn’t see them as champions. “We don’t know what will happen" he insisted. "We’re in a good position but we need three more points. That’s our focus, to get them as soon as possible. Every match will be tough, but we have the quality. I believe we can do it.”

After a crazy Clásico, the coach revealed the final minutes had been "emotionally intense with a possible penalty, a goal disallowed, but in the end 4-3 was enough for all three points, which is what we wanted. Barça are entertaining everyone who watches them but for Flick "not always, because I suffer as well. Football is a sport of errors and we have to try and make fewer."
