The Champions League is now history after the defeat against Inter Milan in the Giuseppe Meazza stadium on Tuesday so all thoughts can now turn to La Liga with just five days separating the game in Italy and Sunday's Clásico showdown against Real Madrid at the Estadi Olímpic.
Three Clásico and three wins
It will be the fourth meeting between the side this season in official competition with Barça having emerged victorious in all three previous games. In the league in the Santiago Bernabéu back in October Barça ran out 4-0 winners in Madrid. In the final of the Spanish Super Cup in Saudi Arabia, Barça took their first trophy of the season with a 5-2 win over Carlo Ancelotti's team in the final. Most recently there was the 3-2 win over Real Madrid in the Copa del Rey final in Seville, giving Barça the chance to claim a league and cup double this season.
A win and a big step towards the title
The game could well have an important role in deciding where the title ends up with Barça looking to extend their lead over their big rivals to seven points with just three games remaining and Carlo Ancelotti's team looking to reduce their deficit to just one point.
