International week by the numbers

International week by the numbers

A look at how the different FC Barcelona players got on for their countries

That's the end of another international week, and it's time to take stock of how our players fared for their various national teams:

Spain: Seeded in the finals

3-1 wins over Georgia and Cyprus confirmed Spain as winners of Euro 24 qualifying group A.

Gavi: Terrible news for the young midfielder who played the full game against Cyprus but then suffered a nasty knee injury in the 26th minute of the game with Georgia and will be out of action for some time.

Ferran Torres: Played the last 17 minutes against Cyprus and the first 65 minutes against Georgia, scoring the second goal in the latter of those two games and dedicating it to his injured team-mate Gavi.

Lamine Yamal: Played 73 minutes against Cyprus and scored one goal and then came on as Ferran Torres' replacement for the last half hour or so against Cyprus.

Iñigo Martínez: Marked his return to the Spanish national team by playing all 90 minutes against Georgia.

Germany: Unconvincing in friendlies

Germany are hosting Euro 24 and therefore do not need to qualify. But there are plenty of doubts after they lost 3-2 to Turkey and 2-0 to Austria in friendlies this week.

Marc-André ter Stegen: The Barça goalkeeper did not play in either game.

Ilkay Gündogan: Played the full game against his parents' homeland and the first hour of the game with Austria.

Portugal: Looking solid

Portugal had already qualified and saw out their fixtures with 2-0 wins over Iceland and Liechtenstein.

João Cancelo: Played 87 minutes of both matches, and scored against Liechtenstein.

João Félix: Also played 87 minutes of both games.

Poland: Needing a playoff

A 1-1 draw with the Czech Republic means Poland will have to settle for a playoff berth, and they completed the week by beating Latvia 2-0 in a friendly.

Robert Lewandowski: Played all of both games, scoring the second goal against the Latvians.

Denmark: Safely through

A 2-1 win against Slovenia meant the Danes are going to Euro 24, and the 2-0 loss in Northern Ireland made no difference.

Andreas Christensen: Played all 90 minutes of both matches.

France: Top of the group

France were already through before this week's a games, an astonishing 14-0 rout of Gibraltar followed by a 2-2 draw with Greece.

Jules Kounde: The defender sat out the game with Gibraltar but was on for 64 minutes against the Greeks.

Brazil: Back to back losses

Brazil were expected to cruise through Conmebol qualifying, but a 2-1 loss in Colombia and their first ever home defeat in a World Cup qualifier, 1-0 to Argentina, mean they have dropped to sixth. With the increased number of berths in South America that would still be enough for them to go to the finals, and there is a lot of football still to be played.

Raphinha: Played 82 and 72 minutes of the respective games.

Uruguay: Impressive progress

In contrast, Uruguay are currently second in the standings after a famous 2-0 win away to world champions Argentina and then a comfortable 3-0 defeat of Bolivia.

Ronald Araujo: Played both games, and scored one of the two goals in Buenos Aires.

Spain U21: Top of the group

Spain are still unbeaten in Euro 25 qualifying although they dropped their first points in a 1-1 draw with Belgium, having beaten Hungary 2-0 earlier in the week.

Fermín López: Played just over an hour of both matches.
