The Andalusian is awaiting surgery on his right knee, nevertheless, he still found time to pay his team mates a visit at the Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper on Tuesday during the first team's training session.
Despite the blow his injury means to everyone, Gavi's presence at the training ground will be a boost for his team as they prepare for Barça's next game which comes away at Rayo Vallecano in La Liga on Saturday, kick off 2pm CET. At Tuesday's session, Spanish internationals Iñigo Martínez, Ferran Torres and Lamine Yamal plus João Félix joined up with the rest of the squad. Fellow Portuguese international João Cancelo did not train with his team mates due to a fever.
Frenkie de Jong, who returned to training with the group yesterday after two months out injured, also did not take part in the session with the Club's permission. Also present in the workout were Alarcón and Cuéllar from Barça Atlètic and U19 squad members Albert Navarro, Nil Calderó and Brian Fariñas.
