A new week has begun at FC Barcelona with the players back at training at the Ciutat Esportiva, and the big news was that Frenkie de Jong was back with the team.
The Dutch midfielder has been out injured since September 23, but on Monday he was there under Xavi Hernández's orders to join the players in their preparations for what is sure to be a tough test away to Rayo Vallecano this Saturday at 2pm CET.
De Jong was the good news but the bad news concerns Gavi, who has suffered a serious injury while away on duty for the Spanish national team. The first teamers were joined today by Ángel Alarcón and Cuéllar of Barça Atlètic and Brian Fariñas, Nil Calderó and Albert Navarro of the U19 squad.
