The bulk of the players might be away on international duty, but for those who have stayed at home Wednesday was a normal day of training at the Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper, where coach Xavi Hernández had a very special visitor in Carles Puyol.
The 'eternal captain', who played his entire career in blaugrana, stopped by pitch 2 to have a close look at the workout and share some views with his former team-mate and lifelong friend.
Puyol, a veteran of 593 competitive games in the Barça shirt, and winner of 26 major trophies, was able to see how the first team regulars were joined this morning by youth players Arnau Pradas, Nil Calderó, Guillem Víctor, Albert Navarro and Cristo, as well as young Óscar Gistau from the U16 team.
