One of the talking points of the season so far for the blaugranes has been the explosion on to the scene of Lamine Yamal. The winger has quickly become a key figure for first team coach Xavi Hernández and in his short career so far, the teenager has already set a series of records. With the international break upon us, we take a look at those landmarks. 

Goalscoring records and record debuts 

Lamine Yamal set his most recent record by scoring against Granada on Sunday to become the youngest ever goalscorer in La Liga history at 16 years and 87 days, eclipsing a record set by Málaga's Fabrice Olinga back in 2012. The forward also becomes the youngest Barça league goalscorer, beating the previous record held by Ansu Fati by more than a year.

Last Wednesday Lamine Yamal also set a record in the Estádio do Dragão in Portugal when he was the youngest ever starter in the Champions League when he was included in the starting XI in the 1-0 win over FC Porto. 

Back on 20 August the teenager became the youngest ever starter for Barça when he was in the line up for the 2-0 win at home to Cádiz, also becoming the youngest starter in La Liga since the start of the century.

Debut at 15 years of age 

Lamine Yamal had made his debut for the Barça first team last season in week 32 of La Liga in a game at home at Spotify Camp Nou against Betis. At just 15 years, 9 months and 25 days he became the youngest ever Barça player in league history and the fifth youngest of all time.

History with the national team 

Lamine Yamal's performances in a Barça shirt led to a call up to the full Spanish national side and the forward made his debut at the age of just 16 years and 57 days. Furthermore, not only did he beat team mates Gavi's record to become the youngest to play for Spain, Lamine Yamal also scored the final goal in the 7-1 win over Georgia to become the youngest ever goalscorer also. 

Records already set and there are surely more to come.
