Agreement with Betis for the transfer of Ez Abde

FC Barcelona and the Andalusian club have reached an agreement for the Moroccan international

FC Barcelona and Real Betis Balompié have reached an agreement for the transfer of Ez Abde for 7.5 million euros. The former retains the right to buy back the player and 50% of any future sale. 

FC Barcelona wish to publicly express their gratitude to Ez Abde for his commitment and dedication and wish him every success in the future.

14 games in blaugrana

Abde Ezzalzouli came to Barça in the 2021/22 from Hercules of Alicante. Born 17 December 2001, he played had also played for some time at Elche, and in total played 22 games in the second division and Copa del Rey before joining Barça Atlètic.

He made his first team debut on 30 October 2021 against Alavés and immediately made his presence felt, going on to appear in 12 games and scoring one goal.

He spent the 2022/23 season on loan to Osasuna, where he consolidated his experience as the team finished seventh in the league and reached the cup final. He made 34 appearances and scored six goals, becoming a fan favourite for his freestyle spirit and blistering runs.

He even got to go to the World Cup, where his country, Morocco, surprised everyone by going all the way to the quarter finals. And he was top for both goals and assists as Morocco won the U23 African Cup of Nations.

He returned to FC Barcelona at the start of the current season, and had played two games before the Betis deal was announced.
