How the FC Barcelona players got on during internationals week

Seven Barça first teamers were in action for their countries, as well as others from Barça Atlètic and the U19A team

That's another international break over, meaning it's time to take stock of how all our different players fared:

Spain

Alejandro Balde (90 mins), Gavi (69 mins)

Balde played throughout the 3-0 defeat of Norway, while Gavi was substituted after 57 minutes.

After a fine first game for Spain under new manager Luis de la Fuente, things were decidedly less impressive in the second, a 2-0 loss to Scotland. Other than a token presence for Gavi in the final 11 minutes, there was no other Barça involvement in that game.

Germany

Marc-André Ter Stegen (180 mins)

With Manuel Neuer injured, Ter Stegen got to enjoy two consecutive games for his country. He kept a clean sheet in a 2-0 defeat of Peru, but Germany were a lot less solid in a 3-2 defeat at home to Belgium. Germany are hosting Euro 2024, and hence are currently only playing friendlies.

Denmark

Andreas Christensen (18 mins)

Kasper Hjulamand was expecting big things from the Barça centre back, but unfortunately, he was injured after just 18 minutes of the 3-1 defeat of Finland. Christensen therefore had nothing to do with the shock 3-2 defeat for the Danes in Kazakhstan.

Poland

Robert Lewandowski (180 mins)

The Barça striker featured in both of Poland's Euro 2024 qualifiers, but failed to score in either. His team suffered a 3-1 reverse in the Czech Republic and then scraped a 1-0 win over Albania.

France

Jules Kounde (100 mins)

France looked extraordinarily good in a 4-0 crushing of the Netherlands in the first of their qualifying fixtures. Kounde played all of that game. After that, the French went to Ireland where Banjamin Pavard scored the only goal in a 1-0 win. Kounde only played the last ten minutes, replacing Pavard himself.

Ivory Coast

Franc Kessie (180 mins)

The midfielder featured in back-to-back African Cup of Nations qualifiers against the Comoros, winning both games with one of the goals coming from the Barça player. His team are playing in the qualification phase despite already being assured of a place in the finals, which they will be hosting.

Morocco

Chadi Riad (0 mins)

The Barça Atlètic defender got his first ever call-up to the World Cup semi-finalists' squad, but didn't get to make his debut. Morocco impressively beat Brazil 2-1 in a friendly, and then drew 0-0 with Peru at the Metropolitano in Madrid.

Spain U21

Arnau Tenas (90 mins)

The goalkeeper was on the bench for the 3-2 win over Switzerland, but then played the full game against France and was unbeaten in a 0-0 draw.

Spain U19

Ángel Alarcón (250 mins), Ilias Akhomach (270), Víctor Barberà (212), Dani Rodríguez (174), Arnau Casas (270)

There was a major Barça presence in this team, which drew 0-0 with Denmark and then thumped both Luxembourg and Ukraine by the same margin, 4-0. Alarcón scored twice in the first win and also netted against Ukraine. Barberà also scored in both those games and Rodriguez did in the latter.

Not only did six of Spain's eight goals came from the feet of Barça players, but Ilias was one of the most impressive performers and Casas is a fully established starter. Both those two players played every single minute of the games that have ensured Spain's presence at the European Championship Finals in Malta.

Senegal U23

Alpha Diounkou (90 mins)

The Barça Atlètic defender played all 90 minutes of a 3-1 defeat of Mali that has ensured his country's passage to the U23 African Cup of Nations Finals.
