Lewandowski La Liga player of the month for October
Robert Lewandowski continues his excellent start to his Barça career after being named La Liga player of the month for October. The striker has been key in the blaugranes' record of five wins in six matches in the league over the last month.
The Barça number 9 played in every league game in October, a total of 498 minutes in six matches. In that time he provided two assists: one against Real Madrid and one against Athletic Club. Furthermore, he scored no less than five goals: against Mallorca, Athletic Club, the late winner against Valencia and a brace against Villarreal. The Polish marksman is currently top scorer in La Liga on 13 goals, five ahead of his nearest rival, Betis striker Borja Iglesias.
The last Barça player to win the award was Leo Messi back in February 2021.
