Ter Stegen unbeaten run of 636 minutes

Benzeman's early goal in the Clásico brings to an end the German keeper's spell of not conceding in La Liga

The defeat in the Santiago Bernabéu in La Liga brings to an end Marc ter Stegen's run of six matches without conceding a goal, a total of 636 minutes for the German goalkeeper. Karim Benzema's 12th minute strike ended the run in a game that saw Ferran Torres' late strike give the blaugranes hope before a late penalty sealed the win for the home side.

Ter Stegen had last conceded a goal in La Liga back in week 2 when Alexander Isak scored for Real Sociedad in their 4-1 defeat at the hands of the blaugranes in the Reale Arena.

Ter Stegen's record

The keeper's run in the league is the fourth best in the 21st century for Barça. Only Víctor Valdés and Claudio Bravo, twice, have beaten the figure of 636 minutes without conceding.

Ter Stegen came within 119 minutes of Claudio Bravo's record of 755 minutes set in the 2015/16 season. The German's previous best stood at 499 minutes, a figure he set back in the 2019/20 season and one that he moved past after the recent 1-0 win at Mallorca.
