Pierre Emerick Aubameyang leaves for Chelsea

Top goalscorer in the 2021/22 season
FC Barcelona announced the signing of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang on 2 February 2022 after the Gabon international had terminated his contract with Premier League club Arsenal. The 33-year-old striker came to Barça after four years with the London club.
Aubameyang’s form continued to impress at his new club after becoming the fourth signing for coach Xavi Hernández in the winter transfer market.
Aubameyang scored 13 goals in 24 matches, and so in just four months. he became the team’s top goalscorer alongside Memphis. Stand out performances include his brace against Real Madrid in the 4-0 win at the Santiago Bernabéu and his hat-trick in the 4-1 win at Valencia in his first game in the starting XI as a blaugrana. In his final game as a Barça player, the charity game for ALS research against Manchester City, Aubameyang once again found the net in the 3-3 draw.
