FC Barcelona land in Las Vegas

After their stay in Miami, the blaugranes, with coach Xavi now on board, headed to Nevada where they will face Real Madrid

LAS VEGAS, Nevada — After five days in Miami and a friendly under their belts, the Barça party said goodbye to Florida and headed to Las Vegas, Nevada, the second stop on their 2022 US tour. 

With coach Xavi Hernández now on board, his visa problems now resolved, the team left Miami at 5pm CEST with a five hour flight ahead of them. The FC Barcelona players and staff arrived in Nevada at 10pm CEST, around 1pm local time. 

The blaugranes made the trip in the private plane usually used by the NFL team, the New England Patriots, who are currently on their summer break. The six-time Super Bowl winners will be back in action in the month of August. 

First trip for Lewandowski with the team

The trip to Las Vegas was also the first with the squad for new signing Robert Lewandowski. 

In Las Vegas the squad will begin preparations for Saturday's game against Real Madrid in the Allegiant Stadium, where 61,000 fans are expected for the 8pm kick off local time. 

The game will be the first for Xavi Hernández on the US tour after his brother Óscar oversaw the emphatic 6-0 win over Inter Miami. After the stay in Las Vegas and the Clásico against Real Madrid, the Barça party will head to Dallas to take on Italian side Juventus before rounding off their US tour with a game in New York against the New York Red Bulls.
