The LaLiga Primera División football fixtures have been announced. Xavi Hernández' FC Barcelona team will play Rayo Vallecano in the first LaLiga game of the 2022/23 season at Camp Nou during the weekend of August 13/14.
Furthermore, the draw on Thursday in Las Rozas determined that Barça will complete the league season away to Celta de Vigo at Balaídos during the weekend of June 3/4.
Another two notable dates are the the two games against Real Madrid. Real Madrid v Barça at the Santiago Bernabéu will be played during the weekend of October 15/16 (matchday 9) and Barça v Madrid at Camp Nou will be played during the weekend of March 18/19 (matchday 26).
The first set of fixtures close with no less than a Barça v Espanyol derby at Camp Nou, to be played on one of the final three dates in 2022. May 14 will see the short trip to the RCDE Stadium for the return fixture (matchday 34), with less than a month to go to season's end.
Furthermore, Girona's return to Primera means that Barça will play against another Catalan team this season. They will have to wait until 2023, however, because the away game at Montilivi is scheduled for January 28/29. Barça will then host Girona at Camp Nou on April 8/9 (matchday 28).
Other games stand out, such as both fixtures against Atlético Madrid - Barça play the away game on January 7/8, while the game at Camp Nou will be played during the Sant Jordi celebration weekend of April 22/23.
It's worth noting that Barça will play Osasuna in Pamplona (November 8/9) before the international break for the Qatar 2022 World Cup, while the first game back will be the derby and final game of the calendar year at home against Espanyol mentioned earlier.
