Memphis, third highest goalscorer for Netherlands
With 41 goals, the Barça striker has moved ahead of Patrick Kluivert to enter the all-time top three
Memphis Depay continues to make history in the Holland jersey. In Friday’s 4-1 win in Belgium in the UEFA Nations League, he scored twice to take his overall tally for his country to 41, moving him ahead of former Barça man Patrick Kluivert to go up to third in the all-time ranking.
He had already left in his wake such legends as Johan Cruyff (33), Ruud Van Nistelrooy (35) and Dennis Bergkamp (37).
And he only needs one more goal to catch Klaas-Jan Huntelaar and it is more than likely that he will eventually also top Robin van Persie, who has nine goals more, to become the highest goalscorer of all time for the Netherlands.
