15 games unbeaten in the league

The win at Levante allows Barça to continue their excellent run of form in La Liga

Barça are not letting up and after picking up all three points in the league at Levante with a 3-2 win in extremis thanks to Luuk de Jong's late winner, their unbeaten run in La Liga now stretches to 15 matches.

Barça have not lost since Betis were triumphant at Camp Nou on December 4 (the only league defeat since Xavi’s arrival), winning 11 and drawing four times, picking up 37 of a possible 45 points.

Until last week, the longest runs in the top five leagues belonged to Juventus, whose loss to Inter was their first for 16 games, and Sevilla themselves, who hadn’t lost for 15 games before coming to Camp Nou and losing 1-0 in La Liga.

Barça had dropped as low as eighth at one point of what was proving to be an extremely disappointing season indeed. But how things have changed! Not only are they now well accommodated in the Champions League places, but the league title is not entirely out of the question either!

In that time, Barça have scored 37 goals in total and have only conceded just 14, including an impressive number of clean sheets.

After taking on Eintracht Frankfurt in the Europa League on Thursday, Barça will have a chance to extend their run in La Liga to 16 games when they take on Cádiz at Camp Nou on Monday 18 April.
