The forward's goal against Eintracht Frankfurt is among four nominated for UEFA Europa League Goal of the Week

The January signing Ferran Torres is one of the most in form players at the moment at Barça. The striker is now a fixture in Xavi Hernández's starting XI and in his 1,293 minutes on the field he has featured, the man from Valencia has scored seven goals and conjured up five assists. On Thursday he reaffirmed his current form with another excellent performance, this time against Eintracht Frankfurt in the Europa League. 

His equaliser in the 1-1 draw in the first leg of the quarter final tie in the competition has been nominated by uefa.com as one of the four candidates for Europa League Goal of the Week. Ferran Torres is up against other great strikes from Luis Muriel of Atalanta, Abel Ruiz of Braga and Ansgar Knauff of Eintracht with fans able to vote for their favourite.  


Third top scorer 

Despite only arriving in January, Ferran Torres is the third top scorer at Barça with his seven goals in all competitions behind Memphis on 10 and Aubameyang on nine. 

Torres has been involved in six goals in his last five matches, scoring twice against Osasuna, creating an assist against Galatasaray, a goal and an assist against Real Madrid in the win in the Bernabéu and his latest strike against Eintracht Frankfurt.
