A very special day at Camp Nou. The FC Barcelona fans who have turned up at the stadium are being treated to an exciting double bill. The blaugranes' new signing, Ferran Torres, was presented to the crowd ahead of the traditional New Year open doors training session.
The forward from Valencia signed his contract last Tuesday and was able to salute the fans at Camp Nou alongside FC Barcelona president Joan Laporta.
“Thank you to everyone for this welcome. It is a dream for me. We all know how great Barça is and I am here to help the Club back to where it belongs," said Torres before signing a banner bearing his image and a shirt to help with Barça Foundation projects.
President Laporta also addressed the fans: "Ferran has shown a great desire to come here and I want to thank him for his persistence; he has preferred to come here to show his qualities."
To round things off Ferran Torres enjoyed the traditional kick about with the ball on the field in front of the fans.
After a final wave, the new signing left for the dressing room to get ready for his first press conference as a Barça player.
