Barça players: Internationals round up

Here’s a brief recap of how our players got on with their national teams during the international window.

Now the first international window of the season has ended, let’s look at how each Barça player fared with their respective national teams:

 

Spain

Eric Garcia: The central defender played the full 90 minutes of the defeat to Sweden (2-1), 61 minutes of the win against Georgia (4-0), before being rested for the win against Kosovo.

Jordi Alba: The full-back played the entire 90 minutes against Sweden, providing an assist for Carlos Soler. He remained on the bench for the other two games.

Sergio BusquetsThe captain played the first 85 minutes against Sweden, was rested against Georgia, before playing the entire game against Kosovo.

Netherlands

F. De Jong: The midfielder played the full 90 minutes of the draw against Norway (1-1), 84 minutes of the win against Montenegro (4-0), and the first 45 minutes of the goal fest against Turkey.

Memphis: A great goal return from the Barça forward. Memphis played every minute for Holland in the matches against Norway, Montenegro (scoring two) and Turkey (scoring a hat-trick and providing one assist).

France

LengletThe central defender didn’t play against Bosnia (1-1) or Ukraine (1-1), but got a few minutes in the win against Finland (2-0).

Austria

DemirThe young Barça player did not feature in the win over Moldova (0-2), but he did get 23 and 14 minutes in the defeats against Israel (5-2) and Scotland (0-1) respectively.

USA

DestThe full-back started and played 64 minutes of the draw against El Salvador (0-0). He sprained his ankle in the following game against Canada, leading to him being substituted on 44 minutes. The game ended in a draw (1-1).

Uruguay

AraujoThe central defender didn’t play in the draw with Peru (1-1) and got on the pitch for five minutes in the win against Bolivia (4-2). He started the final game, however, playing the full 90 minutes in the last gasp win against Ecuador (1-0).

 

Spain Under-21s

Arnau Tenas: The Barça goalkeeper played the full 90 minutes during the wins against Russia (4-1) and Lithuania (0-2)
