Ansu Fati is destined to be a great player in the future, and is a tireless goal scorer. He's already shown all he is capable of during his first steps as an FC Barcelona player, although a serious injury to the internal meniscus of his left knee has momentarily slowed down his progression.
In an attacking sense, he has already broken countless records. For example, the youngest player to score with Barça in the league (against Osasuna, 16 years and 304 days), the youngest to make his Champions League debut with Barça (against Borussia Dortmund, 16 years and 321 days), the youngest goal scorer in the Champions League (against Inter, at 17 years and 40 days) and the youngest to score a brace in the history of the league (against Levante, at 17 years and 94 days).
Ansu Fati has scored 13 goals and provided three assists in the 43 games he has played with the first team since he made his debut in August 2019 whilst still a youth player. His favourite opponent is Villarreal, against whom he has scored three goals.
Although he has only been able to play 10 matches this season due to injury, Ansu was still able to score five goals at the start of the season. The last one came against Real Madrid, at the Camp Nou.
Last year’s numbers and this year’s numbers saw him finish second in the Golden Boy 2020, the award given to the best U21 footballer in all of Europe. He was the clear winner of the Golden Boy on the web, after being the most supported young footballer among the public, through the parallel voting that took place on the internet.
