Miralem Pjanić is in Barcelona, and ready to join the FC Barcelona setup. He arrived at El Prat Airport on Thursday evening, where he told the club media "today is a very special day for me and I’m very happy. I can’t wait to meet my new team-mates and I’m really looking forward to the new season. I hope I can help the team to win a lot of titles. I’m ready and I’m going to try to do everything I can for this club.”
“I feel ready and recovered. I have had a couple of weeks at home, but I have tried to stay fit. Now I’m looking forward to joining the group.”
The Bosnian tested positive in a PCR test on Saturday 22 August after feeling some discomfort. He has been in quarantine since then, which is why he is arriving at the club later than expected.
FC Barcelona and Juventus reached an agreement on his transfer last June, but he was playing for the Serie A champions through to the end of the 2019/20 season.
Pjanić’s season came to a close on August 7, when Juve were knocked out of the Champions League by Olympique Lyonnais.
