Champions League draw gives Barça a path to the final
The path to the Champions League final on 23 August is now clear. The draw on Friday has handed FC Barcelona a quarter final against Chelsea or Bayern Munich to be played on Friday 14 August at 9.00pm CEST if they can make it past Italian club Napoli in their last 16 tie. The second leg of that clash will be played on 8 August at 9.00pm CEST at Camp Nou with the tie 1-1 on aggregate after a draw in Naples in the first leg back in February.
Victory in the quarter final would mean a semi final against Real Madrid/Man City or Juventus/Olympique Lyonnais on Wednesday 19 August at 9.00pm CEST.
In the other half of the draw, RB Leipzig face Atlético Madrid and Atalanta meet Paris Saint Germain with the winners of those matches meeting in the competition's other semi final.
The quarter finals and semi finals this season will be one legged affairs with all games, plus the final, being played behind closed doors in Lisbon, Portugal.
