Nine FC Barcelona players feature in the Top 100 players of the year, ranked by British newspaper 'The Guardian.'

Lionel Messi (No.1), the reigning Ballon d'Or winner, heads a list that also includes Frenkie de Jong (10), Marc-André ter Stegen (21), Antoine Griezmann (25), Luis Suárez (26), Jordi Alba (65), Arthur (77), Sergio Busquets (79) and Gerard Piqué (82). Messi is unanimously regarded as the greatest player in world football today.

The Top 10 consists of the following players: Lionel Messi (1), Virgil van Dijk (2), Sadio Mané (3), Cristiano Ronaldo (4), Mohamed Salah (5), Kylian Mbappé (6), Robert Lewandowski (7), Raheem Sterling (8), Alisson (9) and Frenkie de Jong (10).
